David Fox is a registered psychologist with a masters degree in psychology and over twenty years of experience in both the corporate and private practise sectors.
His goal is to support and guide his clients in how to help themselves thrive and overcome mental health difficulties – especially anxiety and depression.
David uses a client-centred therapeutic approach as well as cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) to assist his clients in challenging negative and unhelpful thoughts and beliefs.
As a holistic counsellor, David also coaches clients who are interested in mindfulness, meditation, dietary lifestyle and breathing techniques to assist them in overcoming stress, anxiety and depression.
In addition, David Fox is a highly skilled, passionate and experienced couples and relationship counsellor who has undertaken extensive couples counselling training – including the Gottman Institute’s Level 1 and 2 courses. He is currently undertaking Leader Training in the 7 Principles of Making Marriage work in order to run couples retreats and workshops in the near future.
David has worked with clients with a range of presenting issues such as phobias, excessive alcohol consumption, gambling and other addictive behaviours.
