You can recover from Bipolar
Bipolar Disorder (sometimes called manic-depression) is a medical condition caused by a change in certain brain chemicals that regulate mood. The person experiences extreme mood swings from very high and over-excited to very low and depressed. The person may be affected so much that he or she becomes psychotic, or loses touch with reality.
People with bipolar disorder can be impulsive, making big-life decisions (such as starting a new business) with little thought or planning, or imagine that they are more important or influential than they really are.
The length of time for the highs and lows may vary and can last for days, weeks or months. For some people, a lengthier period of depression follows with people feeling extremely sad, helpless and pessimistic.
The symptoms of Bipolar Disorder generally respond well to treatment, and most people can recover, although they may need to continue to manage the condition throughout their life.
